Can I be forced, after 35 years of being a letter carrier, to work on?
Your supervisor must refer to the ODL & use those employees first. Some supervisors, however, refuse to follow protocol & pretty much will try to get by with it. Their philosophy seems to be to mandate you today & let you grieve it later. But absolutely, get a doctors excuse in case you need it. Honestly, with that kind of seniority, I cant imagine you being forced to work Sundays. Thats the kind of thing the part timers get.
